Sue Edwards’inspiration comes
from emotional and visual reactions to
her environment with familiar landscapes, both rural and urban, often
featured. Interaction of light, colour, pattern and shape have a direct
bearing on her art. Invariably abstract in nature, a mixture of methods
are employed. Fabric is hand dyed, painted and printed then cut,
reconstructed with hand and machine stitching. Always keen to
experiment, digital art and photography have been introduced into some
of her recent pieces.
