Colour, pattern and texture are
the essence of Janet Jones’ work.
Inspiration is all around, ideas are developed and information
gathered. She works with hand dyed, natural fabrics and threads,
manipulating the fabric and embellishing the surface with machine and
hand stitching.
Her work grows along
unpredictable lines, the density of stitch and use
of colour bringing distortion and unexpected effects to the original
design acquiring something intangible along the way.
